I'm going to go against the grain of other movie reviewers with this one and say, believe it or not, I really liked Ocean's 13.

Like you, I too had heard the bad wraps the third instalment in the Ocean's 11 trilogy had received, but I honestly think it was given a rough run. I think people expected too much from. After Ocean's 11 was a world-wide hit, then Ocean's 12 was a world-wide flop, I reckon critic's had already made up their minds about the third movie. Not me. I went in with an open mind and it paid off.

There are a couple of laugh out loud moments, a good cast and heaps of intrigue ... to me that's a good cocktail for a great DVD. When you dont want a movie to end because you're so into what the characters will get up to next, you know that you're on to something good.

So we know the synopsise of the first two movies, and the third pretty much follows a similar storyline, but this time its one of the gang who is in trouble and the others come to his rescue, seeking revenge and the chance and to pick up a couple of million along the way.

Personally, I liked the storyline moving back to Las Vegas where it all began, and I thought the move to keep certain characters, Like Danny Ocean's wife, Tess (Julia Roberts), out of this one and introduce new characters like Willie Bank (Al Pachino) and Abigail Sponder (Ellen Barkin) was a great call.

My only real criticism is that brothers Turk and Virgil Malloy (Casey Affleck and Scott Caan) don't feature more in number three, because they are by far the funniest characxters in the franchise. Rather than pursue th3e possibility of an Ocean's 14, they should do a spin off with the Malloy brothers. That would be a great movie and definitely one I'd pay to see!

Verbatim:
Turk Malloy:
"Don't change the facial structure."
Virgil Malloy: "I'm making you taller. Don't you want to be taller? You're a midget in 34 states."
Turk Malloy: "Yeah, well, I'm an animal in the other 34."
Virgil Malloy: [turns and stares at Turk]
Turk Malloy: "24. 22?"

In a word: Worthit

I watched Oceans 13 & was totally disappointed. Yeah you do expect alot from a movie with that genre of actors. It was too complicated & boring. Agree that there wasn't enough of the brothers in it though! The only good thing about it was perving on Brad Pitt!
