NoiseDIRECTOR: Matthew Saville Get ready, because I am about to make a very big call, Noise is the best DVD of 2007.
One of the things I love about watching movies is being amazed and left in awe of the beautiful art that is film. And Noise is the perfect example. From the acting, cinematography, music and sound this picture has it all. Aptly named Noise, director Matthew Saville has totally incorporated the title and done a beautiful job of tying all elements together to help the story unfold. You’ll know what I mean when you watch this. In fact, as soon as you’ve read this review, you should go out and get a copy and watch it! Better yet, go get it now and watch it. Go on. I’ll wait. I’m eager not to give anything away about the storyline, for you lazy readers who have just continued reading and not gotten the movie yet, but too bad… it’s you own fault. Noise is set in Melbourne, Australia, after a mass killing on a train. It follows the police investigation and the impact on the community after such an event. Brendon Cowell (Love My Way) plays Constable Graham McGahan and consumes the role like he was born to play it. The rest of the cast is relatively unknown, but once this film get the kudos it deserves, they will be definitely on the radar. This is the best Aussie thriller since Two hands. Note: a 4.5 out of 5 is the biggest rating I have ever given, which should say it all. IN A WORD: Incredible |

Shocked? Well, so was I when I sat down to watch this flick. I had no idea that after one hundred and eight minutes of gripping storytelling, I would be making such a claim.
