As all good DVDetail readers will know by now... I love a good romantic movie... and if it’s also a comedy even better.
 
Getting Played follows three beautiful women who have had enough of cheating, conniving, scheming, devious, untrustworthy men ... so they decide to turn the tables and play a guy of their choice. For a wager of course.
 
First you've got Andrea Collins (Vivica A Fox) a stunning movie star, Lauren (Carmen Electra) a sexy successful businesswoman, and then Emily (Stacey Dash), a honey and a hopeless romantic.
 
In a nutshell, they pick who they assume is an innocent victim - hunky Mark Sellers (Bill Bellamy) - and all proceed to try to sleep with him (like any red blooded male would say no to three hot chicks throwing themselves at him).

I hope this doesn’t spoil the plot, but what they don’t know is that the intended victim is a up to a bit of playing himself. What results is a predictable series of mishaps and of course in the end one of the girls gets the guy, while the guy gets them all.

So in the end, pretty much everyone gets played – the guy, the girls … and personally, I felt I got played for the whole 84 minutes. And not in the good way.
 
Like I said, I love a great romantic comedy, but Getting Played got me nothing.
